more video and reports

Cobequid Wind Farms asked me to post some more video links and .pdf files. This process will take a while, because I want to preview them, and all we have here is dial-up.

Here's the first one (19MB):

Maple Ridge in New York - the largest wind farm in New York with 120 turbines (Wikipedia). This is located in primarily agricultural land. No cottages to be seen anywhere!

Why don't all the folks around Pugwash who think that these wind turbines are a great way to save the planet and the health effects from them are unproven and overblown -get a hold of the develepor and offer to put one each in their back yards.
That way the distribution losses would be less so there would be more electricity available to them and their neighbours. They could make money from leasing their land and helping build them and their kids could get some money keeping the towers painted, the grass cut around them, etc. They might even get better tv and radio and cellphone reception around them.
Why you could start a cottage industry collecting the dead birds and using their feathers to make sleeping bags and the rermains could be put in a big pot and made into organic cat food.
The majestic beauty of these structures could be enjoyed by more cause they'd be closer. This would be great for the tourist industry and some people could set up bed and breakfast businesses around them.
And when that relaxing whoosh-whoosh sound started up it would be a relief on their conscience that they could use their tv's and play with their computers knowing that they were using renewable energy and saving the planet at the same time.

Just follow the money to see the truth. Cobequid wind farm stands to profit from this wind plant, they ask Lisa to post vidoes produced by the Wind Energy movement, a coalition of public relations dollars spent to mislead the public into accepting wind energy as harmless and necessary. Now watch a video paid for by citizens affected by windfarms, citizens who have no axe to grind, no profit to make, spending money as a public service to warn other communities before it is too late for them. For those of us who live here, the answer is clear, windfarms should not be sited where people sleep (or try) at night.
