Land availability

It is our understanding that wind energy companies were supposed to have secured land lease agreements before they make their application to NSPI.

The land owner that AWPC had planned on putting the nine most easterly turbines (#19 - 27) never signed the lease agreement. This land is not, nor will ever be, available for wind energy development.

It seems other local land owners are being approached by AWPC for land lease agreements.

Does NSPI know this?

Has the environmental assessment included these sites?

What is going on?

Any information the GSPA has to counter the construction of this wind plant should be forwarded to NSPI. Let's not sit back with fingers crossed hoping they'll protect our properties.

Absolutely! Lets not count on Mr. Dumond to fill them in. Sometimes he "forgets" to mention things that seem quite important. Like the total rejection of this proposal by the residents who would be most directly effected by it.

Anyone been down to Hants/Lunenburg County line lately. This 100 Mw project being proposed by Ventus is a behemoth compared to Charles' plan, but it must be one of these alternative good plans that you are all talking about. Did I hear in the paper today that one of the landowners will be 400 meters from this site. You better get your pcikets ready, because if you won't oppose that site than your selfish un-altruistic motives will be made loud and clear, because after all it is the precendent of bad projects that you have said you are opposing right or is it your own backyard. I can't get it straight anymore.

You likely didn't "hear" anything in the paper today. Putting a windfarm on logging lands 4 kms from the nearest residence is a good site.

The above comment is obviously posted by one of the common misinformed visitors of this blog. There are several properties that are closer than 400M to this wind farm site. Get your facts straight. Whoever you are you obvisouly are not in the know!

County declines to support wind farm opposition.

SCORE ANOTHER ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS

The fight is over when the turbines are drowning out the opposition, until then heads up, battle on.

score is 5-0 Habs over the Banana's

That should say Leafs not Habs. The Habs would probably side with the Bananas.
